Constitution

1. Pole Moor Riding Club is a non-profit making organisation which promotes the interests of horse owners and riders in the area.
   
2. An AGM will be held in March of each year at which rules and amendments to the constitution shall be made and Club Officers and committee members elected.
   
3. A member is anyone who pays subscription rates as agreed by the AGM and abides by the club rules. Members may move motions, amendments and have speaking and voting rights at the AGM.
   
4. The Committee will be made up of 10 members including Chairperson, Treasurer, Newsletter Secretary, Membership Secretary, Publicity Officer, Show Secretary and Junior Representative. In addition the Committee may co opt up to 2 other members to undertake specific roles eg Bridleways Officer.
   
5. The Committee shall make decisions regarding the running of the Club between AGMs and will meet at least quarterly.
   
6. Monthly meetings will be held which will be open to all members to enable them to express their views and suggestions with regard to the running of the Club and it’s activities.
   
7. Any member who persists in breaking Club rules or who brings the Club into disrepute may not have their subscription renewed at the discretion of the Committee. This decision may be challenged at the AGM.
